Once you have reached the stage where you feel ready for accreditation contact the VISIBLE Standards team and they will guide you through the process.

You will be asked to send us:

  • copies of your VISIBLE indicator sheets but NOT the evidence
  • A set of required documents for VISIBLE
  • A signed VISIBLE Accreditation Request Form
  • Payment of the accreditation fee

There are five main steps to VISIBLE Standards Accreditation:

i) Desk based initial assessment

If the assessor has any initial concerns and it is clear that your organisation is not ready for accreditation, the assessors can recommend that you are withdrawn from the accreditation process to do more activity with the workbook.

If you withdraw at this stage Community Matters will make a part refund of your accreditation fee.

ii) Day long inspection visit which is detailed in the VISIBLE Standards Assessment Day Procedure.

iii) Assessors report setting out the conditions for accreditation if appropriate.

iv) Verification

v) Final result. You can be accreditated, accredited conditionally or returned for further work.

The current cost of accreditation is:

£1650 + VAT for non members

£1500 + VAT for Community Matters Members

£1400 +VAT for organisations from a Local Licensed Agent.
