Local Agents
We have two types of local agent: local licensed agents and local supporters:
A Local Authority (or other body) having an interest in helping local centres to achieve high standards may wish to take up a Licence Agreement with Community Matters. click here to view the Licence Agreement.
A Licensed Agent will:
· Purchase workbooks on behalf of other organisations within its area
· Work with organisations in a supportive way to enable them to achieve the minimum floor targets of the VISIBLE Communities ™ programme
· Receive any updates to Becoming Visible and pass them on to the organisations that are participating in the programme under them.
· Be invited to participate in any reviews of the VISIBLE Communities ™ programme
· Receive an included support package and training for their staff as part of the licence fee.
·Pay the standard licence fee (see schedule D in the Licence Agreement)
Benefits of being a Licensed Agent are:
· The opportunity to purchase multiple copies of the workbook Becoming Visible at a greatly reduced rate
· Ongoing support from Community Matters to assist you in working with organisations to implement the VISIBLE Communities ™ programme
· Recognition and endorsement of you as a licensed Agent who meets high standards of advice and support to local groups and who has signed our code of good practice in regard to promoting and implementing the standards
· Use of the Licensed Agent logo on your own promotional materials
· A place at the table for strategic and operational reviews of the VISIBLE Communities™ programme
· Listing in Community Matters Annual Report and on our Website

The role of the Supporter is to:
Offer a supportive role to organisations within their remit that are following the VISIBLE Communities ™ programme
They will be usually be able to access a support package of training for their staff in implementing the Visible Communities™ programme
There are local supporters in: Chester-le-Street, Telford, King's Lynn, London Borough of Havering, and Cardiff
